Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Crisco
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas (3)
1/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. eggs (2 large)
2/3 c. chopped nuts, toasted
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Add Crisco, buttermilk and bananas.
Beat
hard
for two minutes.
Add buttermilk and eggs. Beat
two
more
minutes.
Fold
in chopped nuts.
Pour into greased
and floured pans.\tBake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 30 to 35 minutes.
Frost with White Mountain Icing.
