Caramel Date Drops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
24 pitted dates, chopped
1/3 c. chopped pecans
Frosting
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and egg together until fluffy.
Mix in vanilla.
In separate bowl, stir together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
Stir in dates and nuts.
Drop by a rounded teaspoonful onto greased baking sheets.
Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove immediately to wire racks and let cool.
Spread with frosting. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
