Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, torn in bits
    1 c. coarsely chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen green peas
    1 c. mayo
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
    bacon, crumbled or bacon bits (real)
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion and peas. Spread mayo over all. Sprinkle sugar over mayo. Sprinkle cheese. Top with bacon. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours before serving.
