Pears With Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 ripe pears
    4 Tbsp. (approximately) red wine or port
    1 Tbsp. red jam or 2 Tbsp. sugar
    Single cream or whipped cream or ice cream
Preparation
    Peel pears.
    Cut 1/2-inch off stalk end and remove core.
    Put pears into covered dish with jam and wine and cook at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until a knife enters pear easily.
    Turn pears 3 to 4 times during cooking.
    Serve hot or cold with cream or ice cream.
