Chocolate Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 oz.) sq. baking chocolate (unsweetened)
    2 c. sugar
    1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of mace or nutmeg (may be omitted)
Preparation
    Melt chocolate over low heat; stir in sugar, milk, vanilla and mace.
    Mix well.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
    Excellent over pound cake, sponge cake, bread pudding or ice cream.
    Makes 2 1/2 cups.
