White Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
    2 1/2 c. white flour (sift once before measuring)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    whites of 3 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Add flavoring and mix well.
    Fold in well beaten egg whites.
    Bake in layers at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes, in nonstick pans, or well-greased, floured pans.
