Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    4 c. finely diced raw apples
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. softened margarine or butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Sift flour with sugar, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Add apples, nuts, margarine and eggs.
    Beat until just combined (it will be thick).
    Turn into pan.
    Bake for 1 hour or until top springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip.
    Serve warm. Top with whipped cream.
