Sherry Icebox Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 14 ladyfingers
    3 egg yolks, well beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. heavy cream
    3 egg whites
    1 Tbsp. gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/4 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla or 4 Tbsp. sherry or rum
Preparation
    Line a medium size spring-form pan with ladyfinger halves. Combine egg yolks and sugar.
    Beat cream until stiff.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Soak gelatin in cold water; dissolve in hot water and combine with egg yolk mixture.
    Fold in whipped cream and egg whites.
    Add flavoring; pour into ladyfinger lined pan and chill until firm.
