Ingredients

1 (18 x 4-inch) French bread
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. ripe olives, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
dash of pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3 tomatoes
5 slices sharp cheese, halved
Preparation

Cut loaf in half lengthwise.
Combine meat, Parmesan, onion, olives, seasonings and tomato paste.
Spread on both halves of loaf.
Broil about 5 inches from heat for 12 minutes or until meat is done.
Top with tomato and cheese slices and broil until cheese begins to melt.
Serves 8.
