Mildred'S California Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oleo
    1 c. chopped onions
    4 c. fresh cooked rice
    2 c. sour cream
    1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
    1 large bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, drained
    2 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions in oleo until golden.
    Cook rice and add while hot to onion mixture.
    Add sour cream, cottage cheese, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
    Mix well.
    Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Layer 1/2 of rice mixture, half the chilies and half the cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 375\u00b0, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle top with parsley.
