Lemon Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound butter
    1 pound brown sugar
    6 egg yolks
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 pound candied cherries
    1/2 pound candied pineapple
    1 pound pecans
    1 1/2 oz. lemon extract
    6 egg whites - beaten and folded in last
Preparation
    Mix and let set in tube pan overnight.
    Bake at 275 for 2 1/2 hours.
