Eggplant Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium eggplant
    3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. tomatoes (fresh or canned)
    1 green pepper
    1 onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 bay leaf
    2 cloves
    bread crumbs (for top)
Preparation
    Cube eggplant and put in pot with water to cover.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Drain and place in greased baking dish.
