Ingredients

2 large onions, cut in rings
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. beef broth
1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese
2 pieces toasted French bread
Preparation

Melt butter and saute onions.
Add onions to beef broth; cook for 10 minutes.
Pour into ovenproof bowls.
Lay sliced French bread on top of soup.
Sprinkle with cheese and broil until cheese is golden.
