Karen'S Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 medium bananas, mashed
    1/4 c. rum
    1/2 c. heavy cream or milk
    3/4 c. nuts
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 lb. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add vanilla. Mix together dry ingredients.
    Add to egg mixture alternately with bananas, rum and milk.
    Mix well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Makes two 8-inch layers or 1 loaf.
    Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
