Chow Mein Paulene - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. diced pork
    1 1/2 lb. diced beef
    6 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 c. water
    1 large bunch chopped celery
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 can drained bean sprouts
    1 (2 oz.) can drained mushrooms
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat; add soy sauce and 1 cup water.
    Simmer, then add onion and celery.
    Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Blend cornstarch and water and add to mixture.
    Add chestnuts, mushrooms and bean sprouts. Heat through.
    Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
