Toad In The Hole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon
1/2 lb. pork sausage links, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
3 beaten eggs
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp; drain.
Set aside 1 tablespoon drippings.
Crumble bacon; set aside.
In same skillet, brown sausage; drain off fat.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add milk and eggs; beat until smooth.
Spread reserved bacon drippings in a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
Place sausage pieces in dish; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
Pour batter over all.
Bake uncovered at 400\u00b0 until set, 30 to 35 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
