Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. chopped tomatoes (fresh or canned)
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. bread cubes
    1 small onion, minced
    4 Tbsp. sugar (or more)
    salt and pepper to taste
    fine bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt butter; add bread cubes and onion and brown lightly. Then combine all ingredients and spoon into a casserole dish. Sprinkle fine bread crumbs on top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
