Corn Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c corn meal
    1/4 c bacon drippings
    1/2 tsp salt
    2-3 green onions, chopped
    Boiling water
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal, bacon drippings, salt and green onions.
    Pour enough boiling water to stick mixture together without being too dry or mushy.
    Form into oval cakes and fry in bacon drippings in skillet, about 3 minutes on each side.
