Slow Cooker Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 lb. round steak
    1 carrot, sliced
    1 onion, sliced
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. beef broth
    1 Italian tomato, sliced
Preparation
    Cut steak into serving pieces.
    Heat oil in skillet and brown steak pieces.
    Remove steak from skillet and drain.
    Place carrot and onion in bottom of slow cooker.
    Place steak on top.
    Sprinkle salt and pepper.
    Place tomatoes on top.
    Pour broth over layers. Cover.
    Cook on low for 6 hours.
    If you use a more tender meat, such as rib eye steak or rump roast, cooking can be shorter.
    Serve over rice, potatoes or noodles.
    Serves 4.
