Shrimp Creole Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 pouch Campbell's chicken rice soup mix
    1 can tomatoes (undrained), cut up
    1 c. water
    1 small bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    generous dash of hot pepper sauce
    1/2 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, cook celery, green onions and garlic in oil until celery is tender, stirring often. Stir in soup mix, tomatoes with their liquid, water, bay leaf, sugar, thyme, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
    Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover; simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in shrimp; cover.
    Simmer 5 minutes more or until shrimp are opaque.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
