Strawberry Banana Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 - 6 oz. package strawberry gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    2 - 10 oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
    1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 c. mashed firm bananas (about 3 medium)
    1/2 to 3/4 c. chipped walnuts or pecans
    2 c. (16 oz.) sour cream
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Stir in strawberries, pineapple, bananas, and nuts.
    Pour half of mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 in. dish.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set. Set the remaining gelatin mixture aside.
    Combine the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla; mix well.
    Spread over the chilled gelatin. Spoon remaining gelatin mixture over top.
    Chill overnight.
    Yield: 12 - 15 servings.
