Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
3 eggs
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Beat in eggs; add milk and extract.
Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour into greased and floured large loaf pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0
for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
