Frosty Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
    17 oz. can fruit cocktail, drained
Preparation
    In a large bowl combine sugar, salt, buttermilk and vanilla until well mixed.
    Gently stir in drained fruits.
    Pour into a 9-inch square pan.
    Freeze until firm.
    Cut into squares to serve. Store in freezer.
