Ingredients

3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
1 can pie cherries (cherry pie filling)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. walnuts
1/4 c. maple syrup
Preparation

Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and butter with a fork to make coarse crumbs.
Set aside 1 cup of crumbs.
In a separate bowl, mix well the eggs, milk and vanilla.
Mix in dry crumbs with a fork.
Pour into a greased 12 x 18-inch pan.
Top with cherries (pie filling), then the reserved cup of crumbs. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar and walnuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
Pour on syrup and bake 10 minutes more.
