Herbed Tomato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 Tbsp. butter
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. basil
1 can chicken broth
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation

In a medium saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter until onion is soft.
Add tomatoes, basil, broth and parsley. Simmer 10 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
Place in blender container. Cover and blend thoroughly.
Return to saucepan.
Heat thoroughly. Garnish with additional parsley.
Makes about 5 cups.
