Mother'S Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can milk
    1 can water
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/4 c. sugar or sweeten to taste
    4 eggs, separated
    5 to 7 bananas
    1 box vanilla wafers
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix milk and water.
    Add stick of margarine, sugar and egg yolks and beat.
    Bring to a boil.
    Keep stirring until it changes color, then slowly add cornstarch.
    In 4-quart pan, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas and mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff add sugar to taste.
    Spread on top.
    Brown in oven.
