Chocolate Crinkles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 2/3 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
sifted confectioners sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to moderate 350\u00b0 (175\u00b0C) if you use shiny metal cookie sheet.
Or, heat to 325\u00b0 (165\u00b0C) for dark metal sheet. Cream together thoroughly the shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Beat in eggs.
Beat chocolate.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Measure milk; blend in dry ingredients with milk.
Add nuts.
Chill 3 hours.
Form 1-inch balls.
Roll in confectioners sugar.
Place on greased cookie sheet, 2 or 3 inches apart.
Place cookies in center of oven.
Bake for about 15 minutes.
Cool cookies slightly.
Remove from the cookie sheet with turner; place on racks or paper toweling to cool.
