Baked Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks oleo
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. salted peanuts
    6 qt. popcorn, popped
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
    Gradually pour over popped corn and peanuts.
    Mix well with greased hands.
    Turn into 2 large shallow pans.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven. Cool.
    Break apart and store in covered containers.
