Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. celery, diced
    4 eggs, hard cooked and sliced
    1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas, uncooked
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1 small sweet onion
    10 slices bacon, fried and diced
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into small pieces.
    Place in 9 x 13 glass pan.
    Layer rest of ingredients in order given.
    Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over top.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
