Calico Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    2 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. catsup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 (16 oz.) can lima or butter beans
Preparation
    Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp; remove to paper toweling to drain, then crumble.
    Cook beef in fat remaining in skillet until no pink remains.
    Add onion; saute just until tender. Combine beef, onion, catsup, salt, brown sugar, mustard and vinegar in a 3-quart baking dish.
    Partially drain all the beans, add to baking dish, stir gently to mix.
    Sprinkle bacon on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings as a main dish.
