Ingredients

3 c. sugar
4 c. milk
1 c. half and half
2 c. whipping cream
grated rind of 5 or 6 lemons
3/4 c. fresh lemon juice
2 egg whites, beaten
yellow food coloring (optional)
Preparation

Combine the sugar, milk, half and half, whipping cream and lemon rind.
Add lemon juice and beat well.
Fold in egg whites. Add food coloring, if desired.
Pour into freezer can of 1 gallon hand or electric freezer.
Let ripen at least 2 hours.
