Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. brown Karo syrup
    1/4 c. butter (not margarine)
    pinch of salt
    1 can Borden sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil the first five ingredients 5 minutes.
    Gradually add milk. Boil and stir continually until firm ball forms in small bowl of water.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla.
