Breakfast Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 or 3 whole cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 lemon, cut with peel on
6 medium cooking apples
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except apples; bring to a boil.
Pare apples, core, cut in eights and add to syrup.
Cook slowly until done, 5 to 8 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool in syrup.
Remove spices and lemon.
Serves 4.
