Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dried red beans
1 meaty hambone
1 3/4 qt. water (to cover hambone)
3 c. chopped onions
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 c. parsley, chopped
2 large cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tbsp. salt
dash of red pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
dash of Tabasco
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
seasoned salt to taste
cooked rice
Preparation

Soak beans overnight.
Drain.
Cook beans and hambone in water slowly for three hours.
Add all ingredients except seasoned salt. Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
Add seasoned salt to taste.
Serves 8.
Serve over rice.
