Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 medium onion
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Heat shortening in a saucepan.
    Add onion, beef and salt. Cook slowly for 5 minutes occasionally.
    Stir in chili powder, flour, tomatoes and water.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add more water, if needed.
