Festive Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. cooked, chopped prunes
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bake cake in 3 layers following box directions. Cool.
    Combine the remaining ingredients, except vanilla and cook until thick. Add vanilla. Cool slightly. Spread filling between layers. Frost with caramel frosting and garnish with plumped prunes.
