Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white syrup
    2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring the 1/2 cup of water to a boil.
    Add sugar and syrup. Stir until dissolved and boil until 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Now add peanuts and cook to 300\u00b0 on thermometer.
    Immediately add butter, baking soda and the vanilla.
    Stir quickly.
    Spread on well buttered cookie sheets.
    Place on a cool area, then break into pieces.
