Ingredients

3 c. bran cereal (may use Raisin Bran cereal)
1/2 c. hot water
2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
3/4 c. oil
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 chopped apple
1 c. raisins or chopped dates*
