Sour Cream Softies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. dairy sour cream(8 oz. carton)
Preparation
    Measure flour, salt, baking powder and soda into a sifter. Cream the butter or margarine with sugar until well blended in a large bowl.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla.
    Sift in flour mixture, adding alternately with sour cream and blend well to make a thick batter.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 4 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
    Spread into 2-inch rounds.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, if desired.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for about 12 minutes or until light golden around edges.
    Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely on wire racks.
