Cherry Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 9-inch pan.
    In large bowl, combine margarine and sugar; beat until creamy.
    Beat in eggs and sour cream.
    Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
    Gradually add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beating after each addition.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour half of the batter into prepared pan; spread with cherry pie filling, then pour remaining batter over pie filling.
