Salmon Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans salmon, drained and cleaned
    6 medium potatoes, diced
    1 large onion, sliced
    3 cans evaporated milk
    1/2 lb. bacon
    2 c. grated cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook bacon; drain, crumble and set aside.
    Slice onion and saute in bacon drippings.
    Add potatoes; cover with water and cook until tender.
    Add crumbled salmon and milk; scald until hot. Salt and pepper to taste.
    Garnish individual servings with bacon and cheese.
