Cranberry Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. raw cranberries, coarsely chopped in blender
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans. Sift dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
Combine orange juice, rind and egg.
Pour all at once into dry ingredients.
Mix slightly. Carefully fold in cranberries and nuts. Spoon into prepared pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
