Tn Pudding Cake With Orange Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    2 sticks butter
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add flour, soda and buttermilk to creamed mixture.
    Blend pecans, dates and coconut.
    Pour in tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours.
    As soon as cake is done, make slits in top with knife to bottom of cake.
    Pour Orange Topping over cake.
