"My" Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. stew beef
    1 medium onion
    1 medium green pepper
    3 cloves garlic
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 to 8 tsp. chili powder
    2 cans whole tomatoes (28 oz.)
    1 can tomato paste (12 oz.)
    2 cans kidney beans (15 oz.)
Preparation
    Cut or chop stew beef into 1/4-inch cubes.
    Mix with chopped onion and green pepper.
    Add garlic and olive oil; brown in skillet.
    Add balance of ingredients, except kidney beans, in slow cooker, along with meat and simmer for 4 hours.
    Add kidney beans and simmer additional 2 hours.
    Serve.
