Mile High Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt in bowl.
Cut in shortening until crumbly.
Stir in egg and milk, mixing to form soft dough.
Knead lightly on floured surface. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness.
Cut with biscuit cutter.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake at 475\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
Yields 12 biscuits.
