Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 ripe bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. hot water
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix bananas, soda and water; set aside.
    Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and milk.
    Add flour and baking powder mixture alternately with banana mixture.
    Add nuts; mix well.
    Grease and flour pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
