Vegetarian Hamburger - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pinto, black-eyed peas or lentils
    1 egg white
    1/2 to 1 c. cracker meal
    1/4 c. onion
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder or garlic
    1 tsp. cider vinegar
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt (optional)
Preparation
    Saute onion with garlic for 1 minute; set aside.
    In a separate bowl, mash beans.
    Add cracker meal (enough to make a ball).
    Add cider vinegar, egg white, onion and garlic.
    Grill or bake for 2 1/2 minutes on each side.
