Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, hand chopped
    1 bell pepper, sliced
    1 slice onion
    celery (if desired)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Bring this mixture just to a boil.
    Let cool and pour over cabbage mixture.
    Place in airtight container and let stand for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
