Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bread, cut in small cubes
    4 eggs
    4 c. milk
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/3 c. dates, chopped
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. wine or brandy
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Soak raisins and dates in wine or brandy for at least 15 minutes.
    Add milk and bread.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add beaten eggs, mixed with sugar and vanilla.
    Let mixture come to boiling point. Pour into 8 x 12-inch pan, that has been sprayed with nonstick spray.
    Put this pan into a larger pan with hot water 1 1/2-inches deep.
    Pour melted butter over top and sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
