Spanish Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, sliced
    salad oil
    1 can tomatoes or fresh tomatoes, peeled, sliced and cooked 1 minute
    1 lb. sliced zucchini
    salt and pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Cook onion in a little oil until tender, but not brown.
    Add tomatoes, zucchini and salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook slowly, adding small amount of water if needed.
    Add bay leaf, if desired.
